Harlequin Intrigue is a thrilling imprint of romance novels that are full of suspense and action. The Intrigue tagline tells you exactly what you get: Seek thrills. Solve crimes. Justice Served. As a fan of the genre, I wanted to share some of my favorite Harlequin Intrigue books and series that I've read and enjoyed recently.
GOING ROGUE IN RED RYE COUNTY BY KATIE METTNER
Going Rogue in Red Rye County features a rogue FBI agent Mina August on the run from the FBI and The Madame, a ruthless brothel owner. The story is filled with action, suspense, and steamy romance between the two main characters. I loved the slow-burn romance between partners who’d both harbored unrequited love for each other in the past. This is book one in the Secure One series. Can’t wait to read more!
FUGITIVE HEROES: TOPAZ UNIT SERIES BY JUNO RUSHDAN
The Fugitive Heroes: Topaz Unit series follows a team of ex-CIA officers who are on the run from the CIA. The first book in the series, Rogue Christmas Operation, features a former Topaz operative in hiding who gets dragged into a murder investigation. The series has an intricate world-building, a focus on teamwork and loyalty, and a diverse cast of characters. This series was the first Intrigue series I read and it sucked me into the Harlequin Intrigue line.
COWBOY STATE LAWMEN SERIES BY JUNO RUSHDAN
After reading the Topaz Unit series, I wanted to read more of Juno’s books, so I started the Cowboy State Lawmen series. This series is centered around rugged law enforcement officers in Wyoming. The first book in the series, Wyoming Winter Rescue, follows psychotherapist Lynn Delgado as she becomes the target of a serial killer. The series has a strong sense of place, exciting action scenes, and intense romantic chemistry between Lynn and FBI agent Nash Garner. This is a second chance romance, one of my favorite romance tropes.
COVERT COWBOY SOLDIERS SERIES BY NICOLE HELM
The Covert Cowboy Soldiers series centers around a group of former soldiers who now work as covert operatives in Wyoming. The first book in the series, The Lost Hart Triplet, features a Navy SEAL trying to keep his identity secret by becoming a ranch owner, but he quickly comes to the aid of Zara Hart while she tries to find her sister’s murderer. The series has a blend of military and cowboy tropes with an emphasis on found family and community.
The Harlequin Intrigue imprint has some amazing books and series that fans of action-packed romance will love. Going Rogue in Red Rye County by Katie Mettner, Cowboy State Lawmen series by Juno Rushdan, Fugitive Heroes: Topaz Unit series by Juno Rushdan, and Covert Cowboy Soldiers series by Nicole Helm are some of my favorite books and series that I recommend. I hope this roundup post has inspired you to check them out and enjoy the thrill of reading Harlequin Intrigue books.
